LIP BLUSH/ NEUTRALIZATIONS PRE CARE

The week before your appointment:

Avoid Alcohol,  excessive caffeine, Lip Sticks, and extreme sun exposure.

Drink a minimum of 8 (80z) glasses of water daily.

Lip Balm (not vaseline) should be applied throughout the day.

for showering or washing your face in the evening, when lips are soft and supple, gently scrub your lips using a lip scrub, especially the middle, and apply a layer of lip balm.

Please do not take blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin 48 hours before. Tylenol can be taken 30 minutes before your treatment without any contraindications. Must not be on blood antibiotics. 

Stop any retinol products or BHA’s in the area of treatment.

DIY LIP SCRUB:

Mix 1 tablespoon of each, and apply in a circular motion on lips for 5-10 min to eliminate chapping. Repeat daily for 5-7 davs before your lip blush or neutralization appointment and stop the4 night prior of your appointment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The skin should not be dry, chapped, or irritated on the day of the appointment. Aglaetbeauty Brows reserves the right to cancel your appointment if your lips are not in optimal condition for the treatment.

You may swell; please ensure you have nothing important for 1-2 days after your visit (depending on the person).

Do not tan or come with a sunburned face.

Do not consume caffeinated products 24 hours before the procedure.

Do not consume alcohol 5 days before your procedure and 3 days after.

Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure.

Avoid Chemical Peels & Laser treatment 2 months before your appointment.

Lip Blush should not be performed until 4 weeks before/after having any fillers/injections.

Bring your favorite lipsticks if you have any. 

For clients with an ANY history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes, please contact your physician and request a prescription for Acyclovir or Valtrex. Most clients take it the day before, the day of, and the day after your appointment but ask your doctor first. If you experience frequent outbreaks, please note that Lip Blush can only be done after 4 weeks from your most recent outbreak. The prescription does not guarantee you will not have an outbreak; however, it will greatly reduce the chances on occurs. All other questions or concerns should be discussed with a healthcare physician.

 ⚠ IMPORTANT MEDICAL NOTICE

Permanent makeup (cosmetic tattooing )  does not cause the cold sore virus cold sores; however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process. If not prevented, an outbreak will happen around day 3 of healing.

So, even if you have never had a cold sore or had an outbreak two weeks ago or even ten years ago, take the preventive steps to ensure your healing is more comfortable.

Cold sores may affect healing, pigment retention, and final results.

To minimize the chance or severity of an outbreak, it is strongly recommended that you obtain and take antiviral medication (such as Valtrex, Acyclovir, or as prescribed by your doctor) before and after your appointment.
